Yen Extends Decline to 144 Versus Dollar as BOJ's Ueda Speaks
The yen extended its decline as far as 144.05 against the dollar as Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda gave a speech in Osaka.
Inflation risks have eased and the BOJ has time to consider policy options, Ueda said.
USD/JPY trimmed move slightly to be up 0.2% at 143.96 as of 2:18pm in Tokyo.
