Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that ending the conflict with the United States now could be the best course of action for Tehran—particularly while the country holds a position of strength and maintains its national dignity. He made these remarks via Iran’s semi-official news agency, the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA).

“It is better to end the war today—now, while we are strong and dignified, and with the whole world acknowledging our victory,” Pezeshkian said. This statement signals that the Iranian government remains open to a diplomatic resolution, despite ongoing tensions with Washington.

Pezeshkian is known as one of the most vocal Iranian officials advocating for the resolution of the conflict with the United States through negotiation. He views the outcomes of previous talks as significant achievements that have secured the approval of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, backed by broad support.

According to Pezeshkian, the agreement under discussion does not amount to a surrender by Iran. He emphasized that none of the agreement's clauses could be construed as "capitulation" to foreign pressure.
