European Markets Set for Strong Open
European equity markets were set to open markedly higher on Thursday as US stock futures and Asia-Pacific markets rallied overnight. Those moves came as an upbeat earnings report from US chipmaker Micron Technology and news of further stimulus from Beijing lifted market sentiment globally.
In Europe, investors will assess Germany's GfK consumer confidence report for October and Eurozone credit activity data for August. Swedish retailer H&M Group will also report earnings. Euro Stoxx 50 futures jumped 1% in premarket trade, while STOXX 600 futures were up 0.8%.
