European Markets Set for Muted Open
European equity markets were set to open little changed on Tuesday following a lackluster start to September, as investors searched for fresh market catalysts.
Traders also cautiously awaited a key US jobs report this week that could influence the size of an expected interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve this month.
In Europe, investors will assess Spanish unemployment figures and UK retail sales data. On the corporate front, Swiss Life Holdings reported better-than-expected results in the first half, driven by strong performances in its asset management and insurance businesses. Euro Stoxx 50 and Stoxx 600 futures fluctuate around the flatline in premarket trade.
