Hang Seng Index Falls 2.2%; Alibaba Leads Decline
The Hang Seng Index fell 2.2% at 20,538.38 in Hong Kong. The move was the biggest since falling 3.7% on Oct. 15 and follows the previous session's increase of 2.1%.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 4.1%. Shenzhou International Group Holdings Ltd. had the largest drop, falling 5.6%.
Today, 76 of 82 shares fell, while 6 rose; all sectors were lower, led by commerce and industry stocks.
