Hong Kong Stock Market Index (HK50)
The main stock market index in Hong Kong (HK50) increased 3651 points or 21.41% since the beginning of 2024, according to trading on a contract for difference (CFD) that tracks this benchmark index from Hong Kong.
Futures for Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index stood at 20,782, pointing to a weaker open compared to the HSI’s close of 20,804.11.
Asia-Pacific markets were mixed Monday as traders assessed China’s loan prime rate announcement, with focus also on Japan’s general election at the end of this week.
China’s central bank cut the one- and five-year LPRs by 25 basis points to 3.1% and 3.6%, respectively. (Cay)
