Hang Seng Index Rises 0.7%; CCB Leads Advance
The Hang Seng Index rose for the second day, climbing 0.7%, or 128.7 to 17,369.09 in Hong Kong. The index advanced to the highest closing level since Sept. 5.
China Construction Bank Corp. contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 1.7%. Zijin Mining Group Co. had the largest increase, rising 3.9%.
Today, 67 of 82 shares rose, while 15 fell; all sectors were higher, led by commerce and industry stocks.
