Wall Street slips amid earnings deluge, rising Treasury yields
Wall Street opened lower on Tuesday as investors assessed a host of corporate results and looked ahead to Google-parent Alphabet's, opens earnings later in the day, while gains in U.S. Treasury yields also pressured equities.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI), opens new tab fell 177.91 points, or 0.42%, to 42,209.66. The S&P 500 (.SPX), opens new tab fell 7.34 points, or 0.13%, at the open to 5,816.18, while the Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC), opens new tab rose 8.9 points, or 0.05%, to 18,576.088 at the opening bell.
