European Stocks Gain
The STOXX 50 rose 1.2% and the STOXX 600 gained 1% on Thursday, supported by a broader risk-on mood after Nvidia delivered earnings and revenue that beat expectations and issued stronger-than-forecast sales guidance, helping ease investor concerns about overheated AI valuations.
The tech sector was among the leading performers, with ASML Holding, Schneider Electric, and Infineon Technologies all up more than 2%. BNP Paribas jumped over 5% after the lender raised its CET1 ratio target to 13% by 2027.
Mega-caps LVMH (1.2%), Novo Nordisk (2.5%), Hermès (1.2%), and AstraZeneca (1.3%) also traded in the green.
