Iran set to reject US nuclear proposal
An Iranian diplomat said on Monday that Tehran is set to reject a US proposal to end the decades-long nuclear standoff after the US plan insisted that Iran suspend uranium enrichment inside Iran, according to Reuters.
After five rounds of discussions between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, some obstacles remain. "Iran is working on a negative response to the US proposal, which could be interpreted as a rejection of the US offer," a senior Iranian diplomat said.
