US Nonfarm Payroll Data Rises Above Expectations
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday (February 11), nonfarm payrolls rose to 130,000 last month, exceeding estimates.
Meanwhile, economists' median forecast was for an increase of 66,000 jobs, up from the previous revised 48,000.
The unemployment rate fell to 4.3% from 4.4%, and average hourly wages rose to 0.4% from 0.1% after revisions. (alg)
