Hong Kong Stocks Open 2.69% Higher On Tariff Relief Rally
Shares jumped in Hong Kong on Thursday after Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on the toughest tariffs on U.S. trading partners, while Shanghai also gained even as he ramped up levies on China.
The Hang Seng Index rose 2.69 percent, or 545.94 points, to 20,810.43, while the Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.29 percent, or 41.03 points, to 3,227.84.
