Hang Seng Index Falls 1.5%; Alibaba Leads Decline
The Hang Seng Index fell for the second day, dropping 1.5%, or 352.72 to 22,849.81 in Hong Kong. The move was the biggest since falling 2.3% on March 25.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 5.0%. Shenzhou International Group Holdings Ltd. had the largest drop, falling 14.2%.
Today, 62 of 83 shares fell, while 19 rose; 2 of 4 sectors were lower, led by commerce and industry stocks.
