Hang Seng Index Rises 0.6%; HSBC Leads Advance
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.6% at 23,483.32 in Hong Kong. The move follows the previous session's decrease of 2.3%.
HSBC Holdings Plc contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 1.5%. Shenzhou International Group Holdings Ltd. had the largest increase, rising 12.7%.
Today, 50 of 83 shares rose, while 27 fell; 3 of 4 sectors were higher, led by commerce and industry stocks.
