Hang Seng Nearly Flat, AIA a Powerhouse
The Hang Seng Index edged higher and closed at 26,847.32 in Hong Kong. Market sentiment remained stable, with gains in certain stocks managing to withstand pressure from other issuers.
The largest contributor to the index's rise came from AIA Group Ltd., which rose 1.4%. Meanwhile, the stock with the biggest surge was Xinyi Glass Holdings Ltd., which surged 5.9%, providing additional support to the index's movement.
