US To Revoke Visas Of Chinese Students, Stepping Up Crackdown
The US will revoke visas of Chinese students, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, stepping up a Trump administration push for tighter scrutiny of foreigners attending US universities.
Rubio said in a post to X that the students affected would include “those with ties to the Chinese Communist Party or who studied in critical fields.” He did not provide any other information.

The move comes a day after Rubio ordered US embassies around the world to stop scheduling interviews for student visas as the administration considers stricter vetting of applicants’ social media profiles.(alg)
