Australia Jobless Rate Matches Estimates
Australia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 4.1% in April 2025, unchanged from the previous month and in line with market expectations.
The number of unemployed people increased by 6,300 to 621,100, while employment rose by 89,000 to 14.64 million, significantly surpassing forecasts of a 25,000 gain.
Full-time employment increased by 59,500 to 10.07 million, while part-time employment grew by 29,500 to 4.57 million.
